The two questions we hear most are simple: which size should I take, and how do I wear it? Here are our answers, based on our product pages and on Veja's official guidance.

What is the Veja Campo?

The Campo is a minimal low-top sneaker with a smooth leather upper and the signature Veja V. Like the rest of the Campo line, it is made in Brazil, with a sole that uses wild rubber from the Amazon, in line with Veja's transparent approach to sourcing. On Veja's official site, the Campo Leather White Kaki, for example, is described with an upper in Organic Traced (O.T.) leather, panels in O.T. leather and suede, and a 100% recycled polyester lining.

Which size should I take?

Veja's own advice on its product pages is clear: if you hesitate between two sizes, take the larger one. In practice, most of our customers start with their usual sneaker size and try the size above if the fit feels short or tight across the toes.

EU sizes and half sizes

On our product pages the Campo is listed in EU sizes, from 35 to 48, with some half sizes (such as 37.5, 38.5, 39.5, 42.5 and 43.5). Availability depends on the colourway and the store, so check the size selector online or ask us in store.

Leather and break-in

The Campo has a leather upper, so expect it to feel firmer on the first wears than a knit or mesh sneaker. That is why trying on both sizes, ideally with the socks you usually wear, is the best way to decide. If you are between sizes and plan to wear thicker socks in winter, Veja's advice to size up makes even more sense.

How to wear the Veja Campo

The Campo works because it is understated. A few combinations we see every day in Barcelona:

• With denim: straight or relaxed jeans and a white T-shirt or overshirt. A Campo White Platine or Extra White California keeps it fresh.
• With chinos: beige or navy chinos and a knit for the office or a dinner in El Born. A Campo White Kaki picks up earthy tones nicely.
• With sportswear: track pants, a sweatshirt and a cap for weekends. The Campo Silver Black adds a subtle contrast.
• With dresses and skirts: a white Campo balances a summer dress or a midi skirt and keeps the look easy for walking the city.
• All black: the Campo Leather Black is the easiest choice for darker outfits, evenings and rainy days.
